Gradually, she realized her musical talents, and joined a local girl group called Callareign. That was the first step in the new direction for her. Apryl motivated and fervent about her profession was able to move into Los Angeles - the center of entertainment in the world. When both girls moved their girl group broke up. After moving she made her appearance in the competition for reality singers American Idol' but she was unable to reach the highest levels. Apryl was also a contestant on Making the Band but it did not work for her. Apryl was also on Search For The Next Doll to audition for the Pussycat Dolls. Apryl was not able to please anyone on the panel and therefore was not picked. Then she went to see an established singer who invited her to join a tour as backup vocalist. They became involved, in the Vh1 television show of the same name Hollywood and became one of the show's initial eight actors. The initial season depicts the pregnancy and birth of their baby son Megaa Omari. Her career struggles and insecurities will be explored in the second season. Apryl and Omarion weren't able to attend the recording of the reunion show from the second season as he was on tour. Apryl announced on the 7th of December, 2015. that Omarion as well as Apryl had quit their show. Apryl's child A'mei was born the 7th of March in 2016. Apryl made public her split from Omarion within four months. Apryl's guest appearance was in season four when she sat her with Lil' Fizz. They discussed a B2K possible reunion. Apryl was back on the show for season six, chronicling her custody dispute with Omarion along with the speculation in the press and scrutiny around her relationship Lil' Fizz. Both have admitted to romantic ties which causes Apryl to fight with Moniece.
