Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and writer. In her early years she was subjected to racial taunts by a lot of Americans. In her 9th grade that she gained confidence following her acclaim in an audition. This not only increased her confidence but also shifted her career ambition. In 1992 she graduated with her degree from New York's Julliard School. When she was 23, she began her career making her first appearance on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films in You've got Mail. In the Broadway version of the original show Spamalot She played the role of Lady of The Lake and was awarded the Tony Award as well as high praise from critics. Following that she was cast in the role of the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. She is also a known performer and has published an extended version of her play. She is an activist who works tirelessly for LGBT equality.
